For some of us, it’s to be a better athlete. For others, it’s to lose 20 pounds, to rehab an injury or to increase our mobility and strength. And the list goes on. Whatever your reasoning for training, it should be fun. While there is no doubt it takes a lot of hard work and commitment, it shouldn’t feel like a job.

The CrossFit Program was developed to enhance an indvidual's competency at all physical tasks. Our athletes are trained to perform successfully at multiple, diverse, and randomized physical challenges. This fitness is demanded of military and police personnel, firefighters, first responders, and athletes competing in sports that require total or complete physical prowess. CrossFit has proven effective in these arenas. The CrossFit programming is meant to be scaled and suitable for all ages and physical conditions. Anybody that wants to learn how to live a healthier life can be an athlete at UnCharted CrossFit. The philosophy behind CrossFit training is an all-inclusive lifestyle change. Our program is distinctive – if not unique – in its focus on maximizing neuroendocrine response, developing power, cross-training with multiple training modalities, constant training and practice with functional movements, and the development of successful diet strategies.


Olympic Weightlifting consists of two primary lifts: the clean and jerk and the snatch. We train athletes in a wide variety of movements in order to better prepare the body for lifts. Weightlifting's primary targets are strength, flexibility, power, speed, balance and coordination. This makes the Olympic lifts unique in their ability to create neurological and muscular adaptation. “They train athletes to effectively activate more muscle fibers more rapidly than through any other modality of training. The explosiveness that results from this training is of vital necessity to every sport.” (CrossFit Foundations, 2006) The Olympic lifts also are the essence of a functional core-to-extremity movement. A core-to-extremity movement starts with a stable core/spine and creates a wave of muscle contractions to the weaker extremities. These are the “natural” muscle recruitment patterns of our bodies. By using our bodies as a whole, each piece gets stronger.

Our UnCharted CrossFit Elements classes are designed to introduce you to CrossFit in a casual fitness class that is non-intimidating, in a welcoming environments and that caters to individuals of all fitness levels. It is your training for our regular CrossFit classes so you feel comfortable with the workouts and not intimidated by the CrossFit lingo.
The classes consist of running, jumping, skipping, lifting, throwing, pushing and pulling – basically training for life. Each class includes learning the techniques of a general CrossFit class, and every workout is FUN! We will include nutrition guidance, strength and mobility testing and listen to what you want YOUR goals to be. We want what YOU want: to get you to be fitter, faster and stronger. And we do this in a fantastic community of people like you.
Once you complete your free Introductory Class and are ready to commit, (and we know you will!) you will enroll in our Elements Class. This is a series of 5 classes where we teach you the basics of CrossFit. Included are a meeting with our nutritionist to help you set goals to help you get what your body needs to be at your maximum.
